A Sense of Connection
Further to our exploration of the notion of Connection, this section looks at our sense of connection - the ability which we have to actually remember, and feel that we are connected; to enjoy the spiritual oneness that we find in ourselves, other things and other people.
The quote above, 'you cannot be lonely if you like the person you're alone with', is a perfect example of what is meant by sensing our connection.
So the first step is about learning to connect with ourselves, for who we are, and what we are connected to.
It could be said that it is about remembering who we are, and such a view explains the relevance of insights like those of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, when he states that 'it is very hard to be materialistic', see the article linked to below.
It is nothing to do with whether there are people around you or not, it is all about feeling the sense of connection, and that may come about from being true to onesef, and it may come about by refusing to think from social fear.

To that end, then, it becomes about a mindset; a philosophy of living or an attitude of viewing the world, and oneself, with kindness, love, and above all else, a sense of belonging.
