The Andrew Cohen Model of Evolutionary Enlightenment
There's an old saying that there's no point in re-inventing the wheel, and when it comes to defining and explaining enlightenment we need simply refer to Andrew Cohen's flash animation presentation of Evolutionary Enlightenment, which does just that in a concise and wonderfully clear nutshell.
The clear and unvarnished assessment of Heavenly experience as the Authentic Self free from the controling ego compared to the experience of the controlling, narcissistic ego as akin to a Hellish existence is also a pretty powerful and compelling depiction which provides great clarity for anyone wishing to explore this area further and gain their own freedom from ego.
When I first read and viewed the model there were many observations in it which made perfect sense and which i'm inspired to point you in the direction of now. Subjects and concepts such as 'face everything & avoid nothing' and others provide a fascinating insight into the ideas of Cohen and his colleagues through his experiences and their work at 'What is Enlightenment?' magazine.
This is sure to be of benefit in many different ways for the many people viewing the model.
It's a resource that I have returned to a few times and will no doubt do so again and hope you too enjoy and benefit from interacting with it.
