Ken Wilber Sets The Scene For The Adventure

We are incredibly excited to be able to be a part of the adventure of consciousness, as we know many of you are also, and as many others are newly discovering all the time.
As we now know, this thing we call consciousness, or thought, based on ever-developing self-awareness, is proving to be a vehicle which will take us to wherever the evolutionary force within us wishes to go. So we are mildly excited by the unlimited possibilities and potentials inherent in our embracing of consciousness, to say the least.
To set the scene, and our focus for the explorations to come, we have an extract from an address by philosopher, Ken Wilber, which inspired the development of this section.
The passage comes from a video clip presentation with spiritual teacher, Andrew Cohen, 'Creating New Structures in Consciousness', which can also be seen via the link below.
We'll leave you with Ken's words, and then we can get to taking the various tracks which come up. Here's the extract from the address;
"So we are blessed to be able to, in a sense experiment and mine the various ways that spirit, in the past, has chosen to make itself known.
"And we're all basically pooling what understanding and what recources we have, in order to engage in arguably the greatest adventure there is; that's the adventure of consciousness. The adventure of waking up. The adventure of going so deep into yourself that you stumble and fall into infinity.
"And under those circumstances there's a new destiny that arises from consciousness.
"Because what's being laid down are actually structures of consciousness, these are actually being created right now.
"They're not 'platonic givens' that drop down from Heaven. They are structures that we build every time we engage in a thought that's just a little bit higher than the thought we had a moment before. Or an activity that's just a little bit more noble than the activity we engaged in a moment before.
"So that's fundamentally what we're engaged in, it's an extraordinary, extraordinary adventure. I can't think of anything like it." - Ken Wilber
